Coming in 2026-27, Nancy will exhibit an extensive selection of her work at Evanston Arts Center in Evanston, Illinois.
Core Contemporary is pleased to present Meaning: The Search For, a large-scale solo exhibition by Las Vegas artist, Nancy Good. The exhibition explores the range and evolution of Good’s contemporary work and features paintings, sculptural canvas, and murals. The exhibition will be on view from October 13 through December 29, 2023.
An innovative artist, gallerist, curator, and musician, Good has developed unique techniques to foster interactive engagement with 2-dimensional surfaces. The use of symbolism and hidden messages serve as the basis of a “treasure hunt” for viewers as they journey through an unusual installation of 15 mural-size canvases and 15 mid-sized paintings.
Following a successful and popular exhibition in the Reno area over the summer, Good received repeated inquiries as to when the work was going to be seen in Las Vegas. This is the first solo exhibition of Good's work in Las Vegas in nearly 3 years.
Illustrating the wide range of Good’s artistic output, this show celebrates the artist’s conceptual contributions to creative practice and visual design. Her personal style is widely-known in Nevada and beyond, and her visual skill and passion guides everything she does, from abstract typographical art works, innovative installations, along with elegant symbol designs. An integral part of this extensive body of work is the use of grief and emotional trauma to inform visual creativity as a means to healing and recovery.
A published and award-winning artist, Good’s work is regularly seen in exhibits across the country in high profile locations such as Las Vegas City Hall, Clark County Rotunda, Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery (UNLV), Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art (UNLV), Doyle Arts Pavilion in Costa Mesa, San Diego Museum of Art, Reno/Tahoe International Airport, Nevada Humanities, Meow Wolf Las Vegas, MGM, Delano Hotel, St. Mary's Arts Center, HERE Arts and Superchief Gallery in NYC, Nashville International Airport, Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Life is Beautiful Festival and galleries in the Southeast, New York, Montana, Nevada and California. Her work is also found in important private collections throughout the U.S. and overseas through sales, gifts and charitable donations, including the acquisition of her work by the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Fine Art, the City of Las Vegas, celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, and the Staenberg Collection of Contemporary Art. Good has received four Congressional Commendations for her artistic contributions, and this year, has been inducted (through competitive jury process) into the National Association of Women Artists, a 134-year old professional arts organization.
Good will present an in-person gallery talk during the closing reception on December 29, 2023, 6-8pm. For more information on these and other exhibition related events, please visit www.corecontemporary.com.
ARTIST'S STATEMENT: Of particular importance is the interactive nature of the work. As an artist, I am cognizant of humanity's tendency toward pursuing instant gratification, which ultimately means we miss much of what is important in the world around us. I also understand intimately the challenges of creating an interactive experience with 2-dimensional paintings. Because this series directly relates to the universal “search for meaning,” I have found a way to hide things within the paintings that can only be seen when the viewer changes position. This physical change of position (to see elements that may be in plain sight but still unseen until viewed in a “new light”) alludes to how we, in day-to-day life, may be unable to accept or even see what is right before our eyes until we change the “light,” i.e. our attitudes, beliefs, opinions, etc.
Good received a FY24 Project Grant for Artists from the Nevada Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts to support the creation of further work in this series. Here she is presenting an artist's talk in front of the first such new work supported by the grant, "Collective Catharsis."

For the summer months 2018, select pieces of Nancy's "See, Touch & Go Dream: The Burning Tapestries" were commissioned for installation by the Delano Hotel, Las Vegas. Eight works of art are on exhibit throughout the public areas of the hotel, including the concierge desk, Franklin Lounge and the elevator lobby/banks.
Nancy is thrilled to announce that her exhibition proposal featuring her Burning Man Art Tapestries was selected by the Clark County Visual Arts Program (Nevada) selection panel for their 2017-2018 exhibition calendar. This proposal opportunity is highly competitive and prestigious. The exhibit took place at the Winchester Cultural Center during the month of December, 2017.
As is expected with any working artist/photographer, Nancy is continually in creation mode and she is excited to announce that the ongoing work on her series, "The Unmasking" is going to see the light of day in a new exhibit showcasing 8 large prints in Las Vegas (many of them from the images featured above). Two years of study and development have already gone into this series and it will continue - likely for years to come - as she dives deeper into the thematic realm of how we mask and unmask ourselves on multiple levels. Exhibit runs from March-May, 2015 at R.Cline Arts, 8 E. Charleston, Las Vegas, NV. This series also had a 3-month run in Tecopa, California at The Gallery@Tecopa Hot Springs Resort from February-May, 2017, and further, 11 large prints were part of a key installation during 12" of Sin Fine Art Festival in Las Vegas from July 21-30, 2017, at New Orleans Square. =============================================================================================================

"Reveal" - charity piece for Autism support
12.6.2013: Celebrate Las Vegas and Autism Community Trust hosts their charity art opening at City of the World Gallery in Las Vegas as part of First Friday's art crawl. Nancy participated again by donating her time and talents to transform a skateboard deck into an original work of art. Entitled "Reveal," the piece was created with layer upon layer of symbolic archetypes. To those living with autism, even the seemingly simple things can be as difficult (and terrifying) as trying to find one's way through a ferocious storm. Often, there is a feeling of going through "trial by fire" or looking for a way out through thick fog or even the bars of a prison. And often, there is no "language" available to readily express each of the challenges being faced. Using rainbow-hued Braille symbology as a way to give voice to what can't be seen, I painted and thought about the challenges and I kept coming back to those things that help families through each day: Hope, Faith and Love. Hope, Faith and Love reveal the mystery of the autistic individual. They uncover the gifts that live beneath many layers of confusion and frustration. And it will ultimately be these things that guide others to reveal the causes and ultimately a cure.

Nancy is very excited to have been elected as a member of the Board of Directors for Goldwell Open Air Museum. "Just outside of Rhyolite, Nevada, a spectacular ghost town off the road leading to Death Valley, California, a group of prominent Belgian artists, led by the late Albert Szukalski, created a self-described art situation consisting of seven outdoor sculptures that are colossal not only in their scale, but in their placement within the vast upper Mojave desert."
